about this blog

We live in an era of converging crises - ecological collapse, cultural fragmentation, widespread psychological distress. As a therapist, I’m fascinated by how these larger forces manifest in the consulting room, while observing how our therapeutic culture can fall short of addressing their deeper implications.

These posts explore what depth psychology has to say about our cultural moment. In an age where social media has fractured attention and reshaped cultural dynamics, the traditions of depth psychology - slow reflection, grappling with complexity, archetypal integration - feel more essential than ever. I examine how individual shadow work connects to collective transformation, why our therapy culture has become sanitised and superficial, and what it means to do authentic psychological work when the world itself is in crisis.

I’m interested in the places where Jungian psychology meets climate grief, where authentic therapeutic encounter challenges dogmatic niceness, where personal individuation intersects with cultural healing.

This work is written primarily for practicing therapists - particularly those working integratively, psychodynamically, or from Jungian perspectives - who are grappling with the limitations of conventional therapeutic approaches. It will also resonate with anyone engaged in serious psychological work who understands that personal transformation and cultural healing are inseparable.

My hope is that these explorations offer an alternative to both academic insularity and wellness culture superficiality - depth psychology for practitioners who don’t mind getting into the geo mess that we are in.

about me

I’m a psychotherapist in London working with individuals and groups. My practice integrates Jungian and psychoanalytic approaches with trauma-informed, transpersonal and embodied methods. I have a particular interest in how ecological crisis and cultural shadow dynamics manifest in individual psychology.

I believe that authentic therapeutic work requires engaging with the sometimes messy reality of our historical moment - neither bypassing difficulty through spiritual materialism nor remaining trapped in purely individual frameworks.
